We have made purchasing advanced tickets intuitive and simple in order to discourage the practice of walk-up ticketing. Your ability to choose the train adventure you want and select particular seats will also be minimized. Visitors Who Have Not Purchased Tickets in Advanceįailure to purchase your tickets in advance will complicate things for you, us, and everyone else! Parking will not be available to you at the Cog Depot parking lot and you should not enter Ruxton Avenue in order to visit the Cog Depot with the hope of purchasing a ticket in person. This is important to our efforts to accommodate your ability to enjoy your Cog adventure. Arrival Time at the Cog Depotĭue to the amount of vehicle and human traffic on both Ruxton Avenue and at the Cog Depot, we respectfully ask that you not arrive at the Depot more than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. The shuttle will be scheduled to run approximately every 10-20 minutes and stops running at 6PM. Their website states the cost for adults. For their most current information please contact them directly. We encourage customers who wish to enjoy Manitou Springs, either before or after visiting the Cog, to utilize one of the following City lots: Hiawatha Gardens, Wichita Lot, Canon Lot and Smischny Lot.Ī free shuttle is available to bring you directly to your Cog adventure and return you to the Gardens. The Cog Railway is a privately operated company. We accept Credit and Debit card payment at our parking kiosks. Parking in City lots generally costs between $5-10.īy purchasing your train tickets digitally, the Cog will be able to notify you via text messaging when and where parking is available based upon the time of your departure. For customers visiting only the Cog and not planning to spend time in Manitou Springs before or after your Cog journey, we strongly suggest you park at the Cog Railway lot. Buses, RV’s and trailers are not permitted to park at the depot. Parking at the Railway is limited and only available 30 minutes before your departure. Parking at the Cog is $15 and located across the street from our Depot. We ask for your help in addressing this situation. This, of course, creates an environment where traffic and parking must be carefully coordinated for the benefit of both visitors and residents. Combined, there are over 750,000 visitors each year with the majority arriving during the months of June, July, and August. Similarly, the charming town of Manitou Springs is a tourist destination in its own right. Please note: only assistance dogs are allowed on our trains.The Cog Railway is one of America’s most unique adventures and we are excited to have you experience it. We apologise to any customers who wished to travel to the summit but they will still appreciate the fantastic and unique journey up to Clogwyn. The summit building, Hafod Eryri, will remain closed for the 2022 season, as there is currently no access for service trains or staff, as a result of essential upper mountain track work and will open as normal for 2023. Please be aware that there are no facilities at Clogwyn, or on-board the trains. The round trip to Clogwyn and back is approximately 2 hours in total, which includes the 30 minute stop-over. The journey time to Clogwyn is approximately 45 minutes and passengers have a 30 minute stop-over at this unsheltered station to take in the views and fresh mountain air. A journey not to be missed, with stunning scenery and awe-inspiring views it’s all part of a great day out for you and your family in North Wales. The destination for the 2022 season is Clogwyn Station which 3/4 distance up Snowdon, where the open mountainside station has spectacular views to the valleys below.
